Lunar Eclipse
There was a great total lunar eclipse last night. Unfortunately I only learned about it yesterday so I didn’t have my SLR camera with zoom lens and 2x tele-converter with me here at Michi’s parents’ place. I got to borrow Michi’s dad’s Sony DSC-F505 though. So I had at least a 10x zoom. The other problem was that I didn’t have my tripod with me either. So I propped the camera up on a piece of fence. I managed to get fairly unblurry pictures. There’s nothing I could do about the artifacts though.
We were in a perfect spot to watch the eclipse since the small town we’re currently staying in turns the street lamps off at midnight. Perfect for sky watching. Also there were no clouds. Seeing the milkyway this clearly is a rare sight for me these days. In Berlin I’m happy when I get to see Orion ;)
