Castle, Camp, Kite

Ostsee0802.jpg

We only built one castle this time. The sand was very fine, so it was pretty hard to build castles that didn't collapse just by looking at them. The rightmost tower of this castle had actually been rebuilt four times before it stood long enough for us to take a picture. Well okay it would've been easier if the waves hadn't crashed against the walls all the time but we're no beginners. We can do advanced projects now. This particular castle was open to the sea on one side allowing the water to enter into the court yard.

The next picture shows our camp on the beach. Unfortunately we didn't manage to get a spot in the dunes (everybody wants those).

We didn't bring any kites. Which was a pity cause it was very windy (always is up there). So we had to watch other people do endless loopings.

This camping site was the best I've ever been on. It's beautiful with the dunes and everything. And it has everything you might need, from supermarket to miniature golf and even an internet café. Cool! The weather was great also (except for a little rain on the day of departure but that was bearable). The amount of moskito bites on my body has tripled. I seem to be some kind of moskito magnet. Michi already uses me as a protection against insect bites. Whenever I'm around everybody else gets bitten less.

hmm…
maybe everyone saved up their mozz attraction stuff and dumped it in your bag when you weren’t looking?

:P

Nah. It’s a genetic thing. I inherited that from my mom. Only she’s an even bigger magnet. When she’s around even I get bitten less ;)
