Be careful dammit!

I wanted to be very careful about not getting sunburned this summer because of the approx. 10 000 moles I have. And I was really good about it. Partly because we had more rain than sun this year. The only problem was that I didn't get a tan as quickly as I normally do. So today I decided to stay in the park a bit longer than I should have and promptly got a sunburn on my back. Fortunately it's only a minor one but I'm angry with myself for letting this happen!

ah, what you need is a genetic make up like mine.
then you too can have loadsa moles and look like a (freaky) lobster when exposed to the sun (for more than three minutes)!

It could be worse. A friend of mine gets an allergic reaction to sunburn. He also gets burned at the tiniest amount of sun. I think his wife has similar sun issues. I think any kids they have will be pigmys (or is it albino?).

I’m fair complected (all the Scottish & English in me) and started having skin cancers pop up in my late 30’s. Too many sunburns as a kid, and too much sun altogether. Stay vigilant.

I’m sorry to hear that. I hope you got rid of all the little suckers!
Fortunately my skin is not that fair. It also picks up a tan quickly. It’s just that sometimes I want to get a tan faster and overdo it. But now that I’m older and wiser (ahem..) I’m getting more and more concerned about the 10 million moles I have. I think I will go see a skin doctor sometime soon and have him check them all…
