That’s one difference (out of many) between the US and other countries, I’ve found: In the US, they do mention currency prices in the business blurbs on TV, but the average person on the street wouldn’t have the faintest idea how the dollar was doing vs the Euro or anything else. But my Signaporean father-in-law, who is a school teacher, will call us up and know all about it.
