yawn

I'm quite tired today. But we just had to watch at least one of the TNG episodes on my new DVDs.

We'll visit Michi's family over the weekend and leave tonight after work. Cross your fingers that Foo will be okay on the long journey and there'll not be too much traffic on the way south (many people go south on the Easter weekend).

A friend of ours will celebrate his 30th birthday on Saturday. We're still trying to decide wether we want to be mean with our present or not ;)

how much ‘extra’ stuff do they throw in the DVDs? I miss those lazy weekends at school where we would all watch someone’s TNG tapes. He even had the commercials removed.
I’d suggest not being mean with the present. You’re not 30 yet, and vengence is sweet. ;)

I haven’t watched the 7th disc yet (I’ve been trying to go in order), but its supposed to be about an hour worth of extra info like talking to the cast and producers. I’m really impressed with the set, the menus are very nicely laid out. I want to touch the screen and tell my television “Computer, onscreen.”

That’s exactly what I thought, Chuck. I wanted to use the LCARS like it’s supposed to be used and not with my stupid PS2 controller ;) Haven’t watched the 7th disc yet either so I can’t tell how much extra stuff is on there. But it sure sounds promising.
Everybody seems to have made this experience with watching someone’s TNG tapes. I did too :) One of my rooommates at my first uni had them all taped (from a TV station that didn’t show commercials during the program. We still have that in Germany :) ). We watched them all at least twice. We used to watch whenever we had the time. During dinner. After dinner. Then some more. It’s highly addicting. You just cannot stop….

We got to the point of knowing EXACTLY when to start the dialogue in the opening sequence, perfectly sychronized. *watching neat graphics… close up of planet*… ‘space, the final frontier….’ ;) We also had a sort of game of who could recognized the episode first. (the tapes we were watching wasn’t exactly in order) I can’t remember a time no one knew before the opening credits. what geeks we were…
